QUALITY MANAGENT SYSTEM AND ENVIRONMENT SYSTEM

History of quality management system and environment system:

year 2000 - ISO 9001 certified
year 2001 - QS 9000 certified
year 2002 - ISO 14001 certified
year 2003 - ISO TS 16949 certified
year 2008 - integration of QMS and EMS system into one Integrated Management System (IMS)
year 2011 - IMS will be extended to plant 3 (plant 3 is a part of ISS since 1.1.2011)

The current Integrated Managament System was developed according to the ISO/TS 16949:2009 (as for QMS) and ISO 14001:2004 (as for EMS) standards and applies to the development, production and sale of electric initiators and micro-gas-generators for automotive safety systems.

Development and Testing of New Products

Development and technical enhancement of electric initiators is undertaken in cooperation with all four  Nippon Kayaku Group companies.

New products are tested under validation programs required by all major world carmakers (e.g. Toyota, Ford, Mercedes, Renault, Volkswagen).

Product validation results are presented to our customers in the form of PPAP (pre-production parts approval process).

The testing is performed:
a) in an in-house testing laboratory
b) at external accredited laboratories.

Metrology

Metrology is assured in cooperation with accredited calibration laboratories and service centers by the means of:
- calibration of testing equipment on the production lines
- calibration of inspection machinery and equipment
- verification of production and checking measuring devices
Results are recorded by using specialized Metrolog software.

Continuous Improvement
We perform regular internal audits and training activities for all employees to improve our QMS continuously. We have implemented the KAIZEN system of proposals that encourages all employees to contribute to our common goal of a better and more effective company.
